DFDB-5410 Black is a kind of SI-LINK™PE matching, carbon black filled masterbatch. This carbon black masterbatch is specially used in application fields that require excellent UV protection and minimum wet absorption. advantages: when applied to SI-LINK polyethylene insulation system, DFDB-5410 BK has excellent handling and processing performance.
specifications: when used with SI-LINK PE crosslinkable polyethylene, the carbon black in DFDB-5410 Black has the function of preventing ultraviolet rays. In order to achieve a 2.5% carbon black content in the product, the amount of DFDB-5410 Black should be 6.3%. processing technology: the high dosage of carbon black filling makes the system have inherent moisture absorption, and it will begin to absorb moisture after a period of time. Although DFDB-5410 Black's packaging has been specially designed to reduce moisture infiltration, in order to achieve the best quality, it is recommended to place the material in the hopper during the drying period, use dehumidifying air, and dry at 140 °-160 ° F (60 °-70 ° C) for 4 to 6 hours. If necessary, it can be mixed with Dow's DFDB-5480 Natural catalyst masterbatch before drying. |

Highly filled systems with carbon black are inherently hygroscopic and will, over a period of time, absorb moisture. Though the packaging used for DFDB-5410 BK is specifically designed to reduce moisture penetration, drying for 4 to 6 hours at 140°-160°F (60°-70°C) in a hopper dryer with dehumidified air is recommended for optimum results. If desired, it may be dry mixed with DFDB-5480 NT catalyst masterbatch from Dow prior to being dried. |
