Hyflon® MFA P6022 is a clear, semi-crystalline melt processable perfluorinated resin. Due to its characteristic free-flowing properties, it is designed for use in rotomolding and rotolining applications. Rotomolding is typically used to manufacture articles such as tanks, bottles and vessels whilst rotolining is used to coat pipes, fittings, valves and tanks.
Hyflon® MFA P6022 exhibits excellent chemical inertness, excellent thermal and flame resistance and very low surface energy.
Additionally Hyflon® MFA P6022 shows excellent smooth surface finish, very low coefficient of friction and outstanding optical properties.

Main features of Hyflon MFA® P6022 include:
  • Excellent flowability
  • Excellent chemical inertness
  • Outstanding surface finish
  • Excellent thermal resistance
  • Very low coefficient of friction

Additional Information
ProcessingHyflon MFA® P6022 can be processed using normal rotomolding/rotolining techniques. In the case of rotomolding Hyflon® MFA P6022 is initially introduced into a mold. This is then heated in an oven and maintained under rotation to achieve the desired mould shape. Finally mold extraction and cooling are carried out toobtain the final item. In rotolining the resin is directly fed inside the part to be lined, properly prepared and primered. As in the case of rotomolding, the part is then heated, maintained under rotation and finally cooled to obtain the lined article. Hyflon® MFA P6022 can be used neat and without any further formulation. Substrate preparation, MFA load, rotation parameters, oven temperature and time must all be well controlled to achieve defect free items.Storage and Handling Hyflon® melt processable fluropolymer resins can be stored without shelf life issues when kept in a clean and dry area at ambient temperatures. Opened containers should be tightly resealed to prevent any contamination. Safety and Toxicology Before using Hyflon® melt processable fluropolymer resins consult the product Material Safety Data Sheet and follow all label directions and handling precautions. As with all fluoropolymer materials, handling and processing should only be carried out in well ventilated areas. Vapor extractor units should be installed above processing equipment. Fumes must not be inhaled and eye and skin contact ought to be avoided. In case of skin contact wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact flush with water immediately and seek medical help. Do not smoke in areas contaminated with powder, vapor or fumes. See Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed advice on waste disposal methods. Packaging Hyflon® MFA P6022 is packaged in 10kg non returnable drums. Each drum has two bags liner made of polyethylene resin.
