TRAYTUF 9506 Polyester Resin is a TPA-based polyethylene terephthalate homopolymer resin designed for thermoformed dual-ovenable tray applications. It is a high molecular weight polymer with a 0.95 intrinsic viscosity (IV). TRAYTUF 9506 Polyester Resin is designed to provide highly desirable container properties. These include high strength and toughness, high-temperature rigidity, low-temperature impact resistance, good gas barrier properties, and table-presentable china-like appearance. TRAYTUF 9506 Polyester Resin is designed with a special catalyst and stabilizer system that offers property retention during both extrusion and thermoforming processing at high production rates over a wide range of sheeting thicknesses. This superior stability also enables use of the required drying conditions without affecting color or molecular weight.
