GETILAN is the trade-mark of our crosslinkable polythene GETILAN GPE/409 AFM is a chemically crosslinkable low smoke and low toxicity halogen free flame retardant compound for insulation and sheathing. It is a conveniently grafted polythene able to react in presence of moisture and of a catalyst. We normally suggest our catalyst type MAC/100 PSF. Where and when anti-ageing and anti-copper functions are required, we suggest our type MAC/203 or MAC/203 HSL (less in reaction). | Crosslinking of the finished product is obtained by: Immersion of the bobbin in hot water at 85/90°C for two hours (up to 3 mm thickness) Steam treatment at 0.15 bar for 5/6 hours. |
