InChemRez Hydroxy-Purge 30C is a thermoplastic organic resin alloyed with inert minerals designed to efficiently and effectively clean conventional reciprocating screw molding systems. The organic thermoplastic resin is characterized as a tough and ductile thermoplastic amorphous polymer having excellent thermal stability and wetting characteristics. Hydroxy-Purge 30C offers an intermediate level of "scrubbing" characteristics for use at temperatures between 350 and 560°F. Typically, four pounds per diameter inch of Hydroxy-Purge 30C is recommended for standard cleaning (refer to InChem publication "Instructions For Use In Injection Molding Equipment" for complete list of parameters and use suggestions). Hydroxy-Purge 30C is highly effective because: the proprietary formulation works under high agitation to dislodge contaminants; formulation contains resins and agents to wet out pigments efficiently resulting in short cleaning cycles; of less adhesion to internal metal surfaces. FDA Status of Hydroxy-Purge 30C InChemRez Hydroxy-Purge 30C is intended for use as extruder purge compounds. The resinous portion of Hydroxy-Purge 30C is compliant with numerous FDA requirements including coatings for direct and indirect food contact (21CFR175.300), adhesives (21CFR175.105), and as a component for articles intended for repeated use producing, manufacturing, packing, processing, preparing, treating, packaging, transporting, or holding food (21CFR177.2280).
