TABOND 2010 is EVA (28%) modified with maleic anhydride functional groups which promote bonding with different materials like polar polymers, metals and surface treated glass.
Characteristics
- Strong adhesion to aminosilane treated glass, Nylon, EVOH, PET, PBT, PC, aluminium, copper, brass and steel.
- Polyolefin like properties and processing
Applications
- Bonding agent for extrusion coating of aluminium or steel with PE (also for steel coated with epoxy resin)
- Chemical coupling agent for PE composites
- Adhesion promoter for Wire & Cable compounds containing fillers such as ATH, MG(OH)2 , glass fiber etc. (recommended concentration 1.5-5%)
- Compatibilizer for alloys of PE with PA, EVOH, PET, PP or PBT (recommended concentration 2-5%).
- Additive for recycling of polyolefin's with polar polymers.
