XT-475 is a medium durometer, two-component, tin catalyzed silicone rubber. XT-475 is a very dry silicone rubber. It is useful in molding applications where the ability to paint/finish parts without a washing step is critical. The addition of XT-475 softener will lower the hardness of the cured rubber without imparting any oiliness. Important Note: XT-475 is so dry that other RTV silicones will not stick to it; XT-475 will not even stick to itself. XT-475 should not be used to build a mold where multiple layers are required. |
