Plyophen 23010 is a heat reactive liquid phenolic resin dissolved in ethanol. Plyophen 23010 is a varnish used in the production of mechanical laminates, gear stock and rolled tubing. It is used for canvas or paper impregnation. It will meet NEMA grade "C" specification for an 8 ounce canvas stock if treated to a resin content of 45-50%, volatiles of 4.5-5.5%. For rolled tubing, a slightly higher resin content and volatile are necessary. It is fast curing, a 1/8 inch thick panel may be cured in 10-15 minutes at 325°F. |
