| PTFA 05 is an innovative development in the quest to replace PVC compounds. It is a halogen-free, environmentally-friendly, flame-retarded compound which has already been selected for profile extrusions (e.g. windows and electrical conduits) and blow moulding (e.g. plastic chairs). These fabrication processes require melt strengths and elasticities which, until now, only PVC compounds or non-flame-retarded polyolefins could supply. Through careful formulation, PTFA 05 meets these requirements, and more, and without a hint of halogen. Articles made from this compound will meet the environmental criteria of both the WEEE and ROHS Directives, as PTFA 05 is 100% environmentally-friendly. |
