Catalyst masterbatch for SI-LINK polyethylene materials DFDA-5481 Natural is a catalyst masterbatch for faster curing. The product and such as SI-LINK™Polyethylene is used DFDA-5451 silane modified polyethylene such as Natural to catalyze the crosslinking reaction of materials. Since the catalyst masterbatch is transported separately from the silane-modified polyethylene, these components are very stable during the shelf life. Only these two components will cross-link after melt mixing. after mixing with DFDA-5451 Natural, the DFDA-5481 Natural has excellent scorch resistance and DFDA-5481 Natural has sufficient antioxidant content. therefore, this two-component system has satisfactory processing performance and product performance stability. This two-component system is very effective for copper conduits or aluminum conduits. The recommended usage of DFDA-5481 Natural is about 5% (weight ratio). The specific dosage level depends on the process and the processing conditions used. Extrusion instructions
Though the packaging used for DFDA-5481 NT is specifically designed to reduce moisture penetration, drying for 4-6 hours at 140°-160°F (60°-70°C) in a hopper drier with dehumidified air is recommended for optimum results. If desired, it may be dry mixed with DFDB-5410 BK carbon black masterbatch prior to being dried.
