Glastic 1642-10-E is a standoff insulator that is molded of UL recognized flame resistant fiberglass-reinforced thermoset polyester molding compound. Glastic 1642-10-E features shatter resistance and closer height tolerances than commonly available in porcelain insulators. Moisture and heat resistance properties of Glastic 1642-10-E are higher than those of conventional plastic insulators. Glastic 1642-10-E should not be used upside down if there is a possibility of the center hole being filled with water. |
