Emulsion PVC for thermoplastic processing ® Vinnolit E 2178 is a special emulsion polymer with a high K value for rigid film calendering by the Luvitherm process. Processing and Applications Vinnolit E 2178 in general should be mixed with typical PVC additives for the Luvitherm process using standard mixing techniques. Mixtures based on Vinnolit E 2178 are calen- dered by the low-temperature (Luvitherm) pro- cess to high-quality rigid film. Particularly advantageous are the excellent stretching properties of such films at high production speeds. Films based on Vinnolit E 2178 show the following benefits: Excellent mechanical properties, especially high toughness and tear strength Low electrostatic charging capability Glossy surface Good planarity due to good stretching capability Good solvent resistance On account of these properties, Vinnolit E 2178 is preferably used for films to make adhesive tape.
