HM-242 is a process aid concentrate. It is added to LLDPE to reduce the occurrence of melt fracture and surface roughness in film and molded articles. It also will reduce extruder torques. Because the additive in HM-242 increases the critical shear rate for onset of melt-fracture, higher line speeds are often possible.
