| XP-149 is a low viscosity, platinum catalyzed, transparent silicone rubber that is used for potting or encapsulating intricate electrical parts where visual inspection may be required. XP-149 offers electrical stability over a wide temperature range, radiation resistance, and will resist reversion when heated in confined spaces. As a platinum catalyzed, addition cure silicone rubber, XP-149 has very low shrinkage. XP-149 is designed to reach its full properties after just 8 hours at room temperature. Furthermore, the cure rate may be accelerated using heat as shown in the table below. |
