| Baytec WE-180 is a dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (HMDI)-terminated polyether prepolymer based on polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG). It is used in the formulation of two-component elastomer and binder systems. Polyurethanes from Baytec WE-180 prepolymer can be made optically clear, light-stable, and weather-resistant. They can range from rigid to flexible depending on the coreactant used. Typical uses include soft, energy-absorbing elastomers laminates for safety glasses, binders for dialysis filters and window gaskets. The material 's low viscosity allows for easy production of complex parts with good surface definition. As with any product, use of the Baytec WE-180 prepolymer in a given application must be tested (including field testing, etc.) in advance by the user to determine suitability. |
